Sweet baby girl’s family had come to the studio to document the start of the new year. Her daddy is transitioning from military to civilian and a request had been done to incorporate his time in the service. As the photographer for the newborn session, we had requested that the family bring in a uniform top, boots, and cap to capture a lovely image as the military child. All other props, wraps, headbands, had been provided by us so that the family did not have to worry about anything.
Depending on the need of a family, we will start with the family portraits first when siblings are included. This is so that everyone is fresh coming into the studio to move forward the with the rest of the time with solo newborn portraits. If siblings end up a little restless, we do encourage that once group portraits completed that they can be taken to a park, get some food, etc. so that the session can continue without interruptions.
