Session Inquiry & Planning
Miss M submitted an inquiry through our website looking for a Clarksville maternity photographer that included family photos and had questions about the process of how everything worked. I scheduled a phone call to go over details along with arranging a consultation to meet each other in person. During the consultation, we went over Miss M’s inspirational images and narrowed down a location to bring her vision to life. She requested a tribal/cultural-themed session within a tree-covered area. In addition, she wanted a romantic couple’s water part of the session. We reviewed available locations and selected one that matched what Miss M was looking for. As well as being safe and accessible. We communicated over the week by submitting scouting videos and images to Miss M for review and the location was solid.
Session Day Experience
On the day of the session, I prepared everything in bringing an assistant, lighting, gear, etc to capture the session. We walked to our first destination and let the creativity go from there. Truly, it was so much fun being able to capture the culture with Miss M’s family. As well as the glow of motherhood. We captured a few images of herself, her husband, and her beautiful daughter. To create a complete gallery, we included capturing images of Miss M by herself to forever hold memories of what her body is capable of. The wooded part of the session concluded and we walked to the water part of the shoot as the sun was setting in the sky.
This is by far one of my favorite parts of the session. First, I waded in the water to ensure that the water floor was safe. We started with single portrait shots of Miss M in the water to capture her gorgeous presence. Moreover, I looked for a way to show more power and a soft part of her culture as fine art portraiture instead of traditional maternity portraits. Next, we continued the session by capturing images with her husband to display more of the protective and romantic side. Finally, we ended the session with a romantic dip that had a lot of laughs and fun.
Session Reveal & Ordering
Reveal day we enjoyed reliving the fun memories we had capturing Miss M and her vision. She selected one of our digital packaged options along with a beautiful 16×20 canvas of her beautiful family together.
